Current Ministry Opportunities

Christ Central Presbyterian Church is located in the northern suburbs of Brisbane and we’re looking for a Full-Time Next Gen Pastor (Youth & Young Adults) to join our team. Our Next Gen Pastor will be a person who:

  • loves Jesus
  • teaches the gospel
  • seeks radical discipleship

We treasure young people and so how we do discipleship is critically important. We want young people to live for their Lord Jesus now, but they will also become the next – youth leaders, husband, wives, pastors, elders, overseas missionaries, church team leaders, and those who witness in their workplaces. So with young people we want to undertake the serious work of teaching them the gospel, empowering them to serve, and imparting to them vision for mission. This is our vision for a Next Gen Pastor (Youth & Young Adults):

A Next Gen Pastor Who Is Real

You don’t need to pretend you’re perfect. Because of God’s grace, we’re accepted while we still have a way to go. But being real means we take following Christ seriously, and our Next Gen Pastor will seek to live out their personal relationship with Jesus in their public ministry, as well as in their private and family life.

A Next Gen Pastor Who is a Team Player

This is not a solo role. Church is a family and its body where everyone plays different parts. The Next Gen Pastor will be in a pastoral team, working with our eldership, and have a key role to encourage and support various leaders and parents too.

A Next Gen Pastor Who is Willing to Give It a Go

You don’t have to simply follow the pattern. This is an opportunity to try new things and serve in the ways God has gifted you. Because the mission of the gospel matters so much, you can be creative, try new things and be supported along the way.

A Next Gen Pastor Who is Relational

Teenagers and young people have their own vibe and that’s what makes them awesome! This role is about serious discipleship as you teach God’s word, but it’s also about hanging out, growing real relationships and having fun along the way.
