The PhD is a research doctorate normally involving a thesis of around 80,000 words. QTC offers expert supervision in a number of areas of theological study, with particular strengths in Old Testament studies, Biblical Theology, Patristics and Historical Theology.
Course Structure and Financial Support
The minimum duration of PhD candidature is three years (6 semesters), and the maximum duration of PhD candidature is 6 years (12 semesters).
The course is accredited within Australia as an award of the Australian College of Theology, of which QTC is a member institution along with around 20 other colleges nationally. As such, it is a recognized course for the purpose of Fee-Help (provided you meet the government’s eligibility requirements), and for Overseas Students (ACT CRICOS provider number is 02650E).
