QTC Open Week

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to study at QTC, Open Week is your opportunity to find out. Spend a full or half day experiencing life as a QTC Student – sit in on our lectures, QTC Chapel, weekly mission spots; hang out at break time and experience the community our students and staff share; and chat with staff about your study options and course offerings. And if you can’t make it during the day, you can join with our Monday evening cohort.

You can choose to come for a morning, afternoon, or whole day session. While timetables will vary depending on what classes are being offered each semester, a typical Open Week looks like:

Monday Evening

From 5:30pm, chat with staff and students about what studying at QTC is like. Sit in on one of the lectures – choose from a first year unit, or a Children’s Ministry unit – and hang out with students over supper.

Tuesday

Tuesday typically involve QTC Chapel, hanging out over Morning Tea, and then attending a lecture. Or come in the afternoon and sit in on the afternoon session, and chat with students and Academic Services.

Wednesday

Wednesdays are a chance to chat with staff and students, sit in on lectures, and hang out over break times.

Thursday

Start a Thursday off with our weekly mission spot, Window on the World, where you will hear real-world mission perspectives from a variety of guest speakers. Then join our students and staff for morning tea, and sit in on a lecture.

QTC’s aim is to provide top class theological training that faithfully applies the Word of God to the real world. We seek to do this as a real living Christian community, and as part of a wider Christian fellowship here in Brisbane.

We acknowledge with respect the Traditional Custodians of this land on which we now meet. In his wisdom and love, our Heavenly Father gave it to the Turrbal and Jegera people (see Acts 17:26). On this land, they met for generations before the coming of British settlers. As we now live together here, we pray that God would reconcile and unite us in a knowledge of his Son, Jesus Christ.

QTC is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Queensland and is an affiliated college of the Australian University of Theology. (Australian University of Theology CRICOS CODE 02650E)
