QTC Information Night ~ September

(Formerly ‘Taste of QTC Supper’) Our Information Night in September is a chance for you to get answers for your questions and to discuss your options.

Let us know you’re coming here.

Vibe us out or get straight to the point with your burning questions, Taste of QTC is your chance to get to know QTC, or find out more about what theological study is like.

QTC is a theological college that provides training for those who want to go into gospel ministry, or for those who want to be better equipped in knowing and sharing the truths of the Scriptures, serving in your local church, or sharing the gospel in your everyday life. We exist to see Jesus Christ glorified as his church is strengthened and the gospel proclaimed to all nations. We take what we’re doing seriously because God’s glory is the blazing centre of our universe!

All our lecturers are passionate about the gospel of the Lord Jesus, and want nothing more than to see people like you equipped for ministry in the local church, here and around the world. It’s also why we work so hard to make sure our team is highly qualified academically and experienced in ministry on the ground. For us, studying theology or reading the bible can never be an end in itself. We do these things so that we might know God and serve Jesus Christ more effectively. We long to see the widest range of people equipped to serve Jesus Christ here in Queensland and beyond.

Our community is made up of all kinds of people. We have students who’ve been studying for years and others who’ve never studied at a tertiary level before. Queenslanders whose blood runs maroon sit next to immigrants from NSW. Indigenous Australians study alongside students from Africa, Asia and beyond. Together we sit under the authority of the Bible to encourage one another in our understanding and application of God’s word.

We long to see the gospel go to the four corners of the earth, starting right here. Students are constantly encouraged to “do the work of an evangelist” even as they study, and as we pray for the work of the gospel in the world, we encourage all our community to think through our responsibility to take the message of Jesus Christ across every border and boundary. We’re also passionate about local church ministry and we offer a huge range of options to see people equipped as local pastors and ministry workers as well as committed local church members. Our prayer is that God would enable us to train generations of gospel-driven leaders to serve the church in our increasingly challenging world.

For those who can, we’d love you to come and study full-time with us here for one, two or three years because we believe it’s the best and most effective way for you to be equipped for ministry. We also realise that for many people that’s an impossibility, so we offer flexible options for study. You can study part-time and take advantage of our night classes and our online units. We offer every level of study from basic training of members of local churches through to PhDs. Whatever option you choose, we’d love to have you as part of the QTC family, and pray that in God’s mercy he will continue to work in our lives and equip us to serve our Lord Jesus Christ together.
