Biblical Counselling Australia: Addiction and Anxiety

Addiction and Anxiety
Equipping the Church to Care with Wisdom

A one-day workshop with Dr Mike Emlet

Jim is addicted to porn. Kim can’t stop cleaning her bathroom. Peter can’t sleep because of work worries. Lisa can’t stop buying more shoes. Addiction and anxiety come in man forms and often times the church struggles to care well. Join us at our one-day workshop in August to consider how we can do it better through the truth and grace of the gospel.

Dr Mike Emlet is a trained medical doctor and Biblical Counsellor from Christian Counselling & Educational Foundation (CCEF) in Philadelphia. He worked as a family physician for twelve years before joining CCEF. Mike has counselled for many years and speaks regularly on how the church can care for those struggling with addiction, anxiety and other psychiatric diagnoses.
