Full-time study

We believe studying full-time is one of the best and most effective ways to be equipped for ministry, as you step alongside and are formed by a diverse, gospel-shaped community of brothers and sisters.

Our timetable and calendar are designed so that students can balance study with family and church commitments. For full-time students, lectures run Tuesday to Thursday, with no evening or late afternoons.

Part-time study

Because we realise not everyone can commit to full time study, we offer flexible, part time options.

Our on-campus timetable is often structured to make study accessible for those who can only carve out one day a week for study, while our evening and online classes give students another option for flexible study.

Evening classes

We realise for many, studying full time is not possible. That’s why we offer evening classes. We want to make it possible for everyone to pursue their passion for ministry and theology.
By taking evening classes, you can easily complete a Certificate (2 years) or Diploma (4 years).

You can also combine evening classes with units offered during the day to suit your schedule.
Our evening classes run on Monday night, at our Spring Hill campus, with selected units being offered synchronously online.

Online learning

If you are unable to join us on campus, for whatever reason, our online study option makes studying with QTC accessible.

Studying online makes it easy to complete a Certificate (2 years) or Diploma (4 years).

We have students study online with us from all over Queensland, Australia, and the world, and because you can access the online material at a time it suits you each week, you don’t need to worry about time zones.

Select units are offered synchronously online, which gives you the opportunity to benefit from discussion and interaction with the class and lecturers.

Audit

If you do not wish to study for academic credit, you can experience our units as an ‘audit’ student. As an audit student you have access to all the materials and are able to sit in on lectures, but are not required to do assessments. The cost to audit is $500 per unit which is payable upfront and cannot be paid using FEE-HELP.

QTC’s aim is to provide top class theological training that faithfully applies the Word of God to the real world. We seek to do this as a real living Christian community, and as part of a wider Christian fellowship here in Brisbane.

We acknowledge with respect the Traditional Custodians of this land on which we now meet. In his wisdom and love, our Heavenly Father gave it to the Turrbal and Jegera people (see Acts 17:26). On this land, they met for generations before the coming of British settlers. As we now live together here, we pray that God would reconcile and unite us in a knowledge of his Son, Jesus Christ.

QTC is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Queensland and is an affiliated college of the Australian University of Theology. (Australian University of Theology CRICOS CODE 02650E)
