The QTC community is grateful for those who, under God, support us through prayer and by offering their money and time towards the ministry of the college.
Prayer
From time to time the college produces a prayer bulletin which contains specific matters which you can pray about. Generally speaking, there are a number of areas in which we are always grateful for prayer:
- For the staff of the college. Their names, photos, and some details are available on the "Our People" section of this website, under "About".
- For our current students, that the Lord would be preparing them all for a lifetime of faithful and fruitful service for His Kingdom, and strengthening them to serve as godly men and women.
- For future students of the college, that many would come to be trained as workers for the Lord's plentiful harvest-fields, that the college's staff would be enabled to prepare them appropriately for future service, and that the Lord would be preparing them all for their time at QTC even now.
- For our support networks - for those who serve on committees which assist the work of the college, for churches and individual Christians who support us and for other people and organisations which the college community comes into contact with.
Financial Support
At the present time the college would particularly welcome financial contributions in support of its library acquisitions program. In the future it is anticipated that we will have considerable financial needs in other areas also (such as faculty and staffing costs). At present gifts to QTC are not tax-deductible, however it is our intention to secure Designated Gift Recipient (tax-deductible) status for our Library in the near future.
You can make financial gifts to QTC in the following ways:
- By sending a cheque made out to "Queensland Theological College", posted to QTC, PO Box 6376, St Lucia QLD 4067, Australia.
- By credit card (Mastercard or VISA). Call our office on +61 (07) 3871 9347 with your details ready.
- By direct transfer. Call our office for details.
If you are considering making a large gift or bequest to the college, we would suggest the following:
- Make contact with the College Principal or Academic Registrar by phone or in writing through our office (details above). If it is appropriate they will make an appointment to discuss your proposed gift and how it can best be used by the college.
- At different points in time, the financial needs of the college vary somewhat. Gifts to current or anticipated areas of need can have greater impact for the Kingdom than gifts to other areas.
- You can provide your gift in the form of a lump-sum available for immediate use, or through a trust where only a portion of your gift (or the interest only) can be used each year. Which of these options is most suitable and beneficial for the college will depend upon the size and purpose of your gift. The Principal/Registrar can provide you with advice here.
- For bequests in particular, always consult your solicitor when making these arrangements.
Time
From time to time, the college has need of those who can help us as volunteers. If you would like to serve in this way, please contact us by phone or email or speak to one of the college staff, who will be able to discuss any areas of current need.
