Doug Green

The Biblical Theology of the Image of God: 

The Gospel as the Restoration of our true Humanity

In three lectures Doug will paint for us the big picture of the Bible's unfolding story of how in Christ we have made truly human again.  Doug is an Australian who, like John Calvin trained in law, not Paris but Sydney, before undertaking his theological training in Westminster Theological Seminary, then on to Yale University for his Old Testament doctoral studies.   He has taught at Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia in Old Testament since 1992.  Doug was formerly an environmental lawyer in Sydney, Australia

Doug has contributed to a number of publications, including a Complete Literary Guide to the Bible and Dictionary of Biblical Imagery. Doug is an elder at New Life Presbyterian Church in Pennsylvania, USA.

  Paul House

Preparing a Series on Isaiah

 7:30pm to 9:30pm

Paul House will help us unpack this important book of the Bible; helpful for preparing a sermon or Bible study.  Paul is currently Academic Dean, Beeson Divinity School, Samford University, Birmingham USA where he also lectures in Old Testament. He is the author or editor of some thirteen books on the Old Testament. Paul is a scholar as well as an engaging preacher and in his teaching seeks to help his students move the Biblical text from the study desk to the pulpit.

Steve has over 10 years experience as a minister at the Southern Cross Presbyterian Church plant in Lismore, NSW.  He recently moved to Brisbane to be the Senior Pastor at Creek Road Presbyterian Church. Steve co-authored Back to Basics, a seven-part course for teaching and reminding Christians about basic biblical belief and behaviour.
